WADA DECLARATION
Around 12 million servings of SCI-MX products are safely consumed every year SCI-MX is committed to ensuring that none of our products will rise to a positive test for a wide range of substances on WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) prohibited list.
SCI-MX, together with our partner manufactures, carry out random batch testing on selected individuals products throughout year as standard procedure. The nature of such random testing substantially minimises risk of any type of contamination during manufacturing process, throughout 12 years of such testing, we have never had a product test positive for any substance on WADA prohibited list. Furthermore, in terms of risk minimisation, we only use highly reputable EU suppliers who are subject to regular audits by relevant authorities, are certified with one or more of following industry recognized accreditation:
- Informed Sport
- Belgian Department of Food Supplement Safety Standards (FAVV)
- ISO 9001 (BS EN ISO 9001:2000) & ISO 17025
- British Retail Consortium (RBC) Global Standards for Food Safety
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- International Food Standards (IFS)
Whilst all reasonable precautions are taken during production an handling of products to mitigat (unlikely) risk of contamination that could result in a positive drug test, several variables exist outside of production that we have no control of, including, but not limited to, following :
- Medications an athlete may be taking while our products how such medications may affect a drug test.
- Each athletes’ individual. biological constitution is unique how its may react to extreme training conditions in conjunction with supplement is an unknown factor beyond our control.
- Certain foods endogenously contain compounds that are, or are similar to, banned substances, although we are not aware of any positive drug test being attributed to such foods, we have no control over how such foods may interact with use of sports supplements.
- How our products are handled, what measures are taken to prevent deliberate or accidental contamination, once product is in hands of an athlete.
